This unique combination of an amorphous silicone layer and a microcrystalline silicone layer increases the efficiency and sets new performance standards.
The combination of amorphous and microcrystalline layers makes dual energy production possible. The cells on the surface absorb and convert the visible light spectrum of the sun's rays into electricity. In addition, the cells beneath the surface absorb and convert the infrared rays, proximal to the light spectrum, into electricity.
It is the linking of these technologies that makes the Mikromorph® modules' high degree of efficiency of up to 8.74 percent possible.
